SEIU 668 Ch.4 is busy getting the MGIB Apprenticeship Program established across our chapter. This will allow our veterans with GI Bill benefit eligibility to receive payments up to $935.85 per month for IMSTP and possibly other training programs in our union shops. Please go to the 2007 MGIB Chapter 30 Payment schedule for current monthly payments.

If you are considering continuing your education traditionally, it’s easy to apply for your MGIB benefits. You can do it online or you may mail the Form 22-1990 to your regional MGIB VA regional office.

You will also need to contact 1-888-442-4551 and request your Certificate of Eligibility for Chapter 30 benefits. You need this form to complete your request for VA educational benefits.
For veterans who were VEAP participants and are either finished pursuing your education or are outside of your window of eligibility, you may complete and submit a Form 24-5281 for consideration for return of the unused portion of your contributions to the VEAP or MGIB buy-in. Please mail the form to the Eastern Region VA office.
